Enterprise & Multi-Entity Migrations ยท Canada
Financial system migrations for organizations that outgrew a single set of books.
Holding companies, franchise groups, professional practices and growing operators across Canada run finance on systems that no longer fit. We move multi-entity structures (consolidations, inter-company and multi-currency included) without losing a transaction.
Fixed scope. Named go-live date. Assessment first, commitment after.
The Problem
Growth changes the rules of finance
A second entity. A US subsidiary. An acquisition. Each one multiplies close time, spreadsheet workarounds and version-of-the-truth arguments. The system that got you here was never designed for what you have become.
The close stretches
Month-end takes weeks because consolidation lives in spreadsheets stitched across entities and currencies.
Inter-company drifts
Balances that should eliminate cleanly do not, and every quarter someone spends days finding out why.
Decisions lag the data
By the time reporting is assembled across the group, the numbers describe last month’s business, not this one’s.
Scope
What a multi-entity migration includes
Entity Architecture
Chart of accounts design across the group, dimensional structure, and inter-company mappings agreed before anything moves.
Full History, Every Entity
Transactional history migrated and reconciled per entity, not opening balances and a shrug.
Multi-Currency
CAD/USD and beyond: historical rates, revaluations and translation treatment carried through intact.
Canadian Tax Continuity
GST/HST/PST codes and filing history mapped so compliance survives the cutover.
Consolidated Reporting
Group reporting rebuilt and validated against your old consolidation before go-live.
Parallel Run & Training
Old and new run side by side through a full close. Your team trained on your data.

Before you book
What Canadian groups ask us first
How long does a multi-entity migration take?
It depends on entity count and history depth: which is exactly what the discovery call scopes. You get a fixed quote and a named go-live date before committing, and the schedule includes a parallel run through a full close.
Do all entities have to move at once?
No. Groups often phase entity by entity. Inter-company mappings are designed up front so early movers and late movers keep eliminating cleanly throughout the transition.
How is this priced?
Fixed fee, set after the assessment, not hourly. Hourly migration billing transfers scope risk onto you, which is why so many of these projects run over. Ours do not.
Which platform do we end up on?
Whichever fits your structure: that is a finding of the assessment, not a foregone conclusion. We support 88+ platforms and recommend what fits, not what pays us best.
Will the migrated books survive an audit?
Full transactional history moves per entity, reconciled to the penny, with cutover documentation your auditor can trace line by line. Our teams are trained under Big Four standards.
What happens to GST/HST across our entities?
Tax codes, filing history and input tax credits are mapped per entity as part of scope, so the next filing comes out of the new system, not a spreadsheet.
Accounting firm with a client on this platform?
Refer, white-label, or co-deliver the migration with our team while you keep the client relationship.
